Jacob Steingart is a passionate, musical, and dedicated audio engineer.

Jacob grew up studying music and playing the violin in the Boston area. He earned his Bachelor’s of Music in Sound Recording Technology at the University of Massacusetts Lowell, where his studies focused heavily on classical and acoustic music recording.

Since leaving UMass Lowell in 2017, Jacob’s career has led him to lead and assist on projects at Futura Productions, Boston Symphony Hall, and the Aspen Music Festival, and work with musicians such as the Boston Symphony Orchestra, A Far Cry, Augustin Hadelich, Midori, Seong-Jin Cho, Yo-Yo Ma, and Jan Vogler. He spent two years on staff at the New England Conservatory of music, and is currently a staff engineer at Soundmirror.

Jacob prides himself on a client- and music-centric approach to recording production. Every project is different, and requires careful consideration as to acoustic spaces, personnel, and musical and recording equipment. Jacob utilizes his experience and network to find the winning combination of elements for your specific project, on your budget.
